RiseMove™, The Movement Decision Engine™ (“RiseMove™,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and recognizes that health, fitness, activity, location, and coaching information can be sensitive.
This Privacy Policy explains what information RiseMove™ accesses, collects, processes, stores, transmits, or shares; why it is used; how connected health and artificial-intelligence features work; how long information may be retained; and the choices available to you.
This Privacy Policy applies to the RiseMove™ mobile application, website, Today Signal, Daily Move Score, activity tracking, weekly planning, Hank™ coaching features, integrations, subscriptions, and related services collectively referred to as the “Service.”
RiseMove™ is a fitness and movement-guidance application. It is not a medical application, medical device, healthcare provider, or emergency-monitoring service and does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment.
1. Your Information Remains Yours
As between you and RiseMove™, you retain ownership of the original information and content you provide or authorize RiseMove™ to access, including profile information, goals, check-ins, workouts, messages, photos, connected activity information, and content you choose to share.
Connecting an account or granting a device permission does not transfer ownership of that information to RiseMove™. You provide only the limited permission necessary for RiseMove™ to process information for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy and to provide the features you request.
2. Our Data-Use Principles
- We access and process information for identified app functions, not simply because it is available.
- We seek to use the minimum information reasonably necessary to provide those functions.
- We do not sell personal data, connected health data, workout data, precise location data, or Hank™ conversations.
- We do not use health or fitness data for advertising, data brokerage, or cross-company tracking.
- We do not share personal or health data with advertisers.
- We do not use health and activity information to make decisions about employment, insurance, credit, housing, or eligibility for unrelated services.
- We disclose information only as described in this Privacy Policy, as necessary to provide the Service, as required by law, or as directed or authorized by you.
3. Information We Collect or Process
The information RiseMove™ collects or processes depends on the features you use, the information you provide, and the permissions you grant.
A. Contact, account, and profile information
- Name, email address, username, and profile name
- User, account, session, installation, and authentication identifiers
- App settings, preferences, primary activities, experience level, goals, availability, and equipment preferences
- Support communications and information used to respond to privacy or account requests
B. Check-ins and information you choose to provide
- Daily energy, fatigue, soreness, recovery observations, and post-workout responses
- Movement limitations or other context you voluntarily disclose
- Onboarding answers, notes, messages, photos, and other user content
Do not provide emergency information or sensitive medical information that is not necessary for your use of RiseMove™.
C. Health, fitness, and activity information
Depending on your platform, permissions, and enabled features, RiseMove™ may access or process:
- Exercise sessions or workouts, including activity type, date, start and end time, duration, source, and external identifier
- Steps
- Sleep duration
- Resting heart rate
- Workout distance, pace, or speed where available and relevant
- Movement history and completed or planned activities
- Readiness, training-load, recovery, Daily Signal, and planning inputs derived by RiseMove™
- Activity-tracking status and route information when you use location-based tracking
RiseMove™ does not request every category available through Apple Health or Health Connect. It requests only categories used by available RiseMove™ features and presents the applicable permission interface before access.
D. Location and route information
If you start a location-based workout, RiseMove™ may process precise or approximate location to record the activity, calculate distance, display a route, maintain activity history, support live tracking, and diagnose tracking problems. Location access can be changed in device settings, although route and live-tracking features may stop working.
RiseMove™ does not use location information to track you across other companies’ apps or websites and does not share precise location with advertisers.
E. Usage, analytics, and diagnostics
RiseMove™ may process app and website usage information such as screens or pages viewed, feature interactions, onboarding progress, connection status, activity starts and completions, subscription events, app version, device and operating-system information, crash reports, errors, performance information, and network or synchronization failures.
We seek to avoid placing sensitive health details, precise routes, or complete Hank™ conversations into analytics event properties.
F. User content and optional sharing
RiseMove™ may allow you to create, save, upload, or share notes, activity summaries, photos, profile information, comments, reactions, posts, messages, and other content. You control whether to submit or share this content through available features.
4. Apple Health and Health Connect
Apple Health and Health Connect are optional connected-health sources. RiseMove™ presents the applicable Apple or Android permission interface and reads only the categories you authorize.
Depending on your device and available feature, authorized categories may include exercise or workout sessions, steps, sleep duration, resting heart rate, and workout distance, duration, source, or related summary information.
RiseMove™ may use authorized connected-health information to:
- Import eligible workout or exercise-session summaries
- Display activity history and prevent duplicate workout records
- Calculate or improve readiness, Today Signals, Daily Move Scores, movement recommendations, and plans
- Determine whether enough information is available to move beyond a Learning state
- Provide user-requested coaching context, synchronization, support, and troubleshooting
Connected-health values such as steps, sleep duration, resting heart rate, and training load may be processed on your device to derive readiness and Daily Signal context. RiseMove™ does not copy every available Apple Health or Health Connect record. Workout or activity summaries imported into RiseMove™ may be stored as described in Section 13.
RiseMove™ does not sell, rent, license, advertise with, or create advertising audiences from Apple Health or Health Connect data. It does not use connected-health data for data brokerage, cross-company tracking, unrelated eligibility decisions, or training general-purpose AI models.
You may revoke or change Apple Health or Health Connect permissions through the relevant health application or device settings. Revoking access prevents future access to the revoked category but does not automatically delete workout or activity summaries previously imported and stored by RiseMove™.
5. Strava and Other Connections
If you connect Strava or another supported service, RiseMove™ may receive the activity information that service makes available and that you authorize, such as activity type, date and time, duration, distance, pace, activity identifier, source information, and route information where supported.
RiseMove™ uses connected-service information for activity history, movement guidance, planning, synchronization, duplicate detection, and features you request. Disconnecting a service prevents future imports but may not automatically delete information already imported into RiseMove™.
Strava connection tokens are retained only while Strava remains connected. Use of a connected service is also subject to that service’s terms, permissions, availability, and privacy practices.
6. How RiseMove™ Uses Information
- Create, authenticate, secure, and manage accounts
- Save settings, preferences, check-ins, and activity history
- Provide onboarding, Learning Mode, Today Signals, Daily Move Scores, explanations, recommendations, and plans
- Record, import, normalize, display, synchronize, and de-duplicate activities
- Provide Hank™ coaching responses after AI consent
- Operate subscriptions and Premium access
- Support optional sharing and community features
- Respond to support, safety, privacy, export, correction, and deletion requests
- Investigate errors, improve reliability and usability, protect accounts, prevent abuse, and comply with legal and platform requirements
When insufficient information is available, RiseMove™ may display a Learning state or lower confidence rather than presenting incomplete information as certain.
7. Hank™ and Artificial-Intelligence Processing
Hank™ uses artificial intelligence to generate coaching-style explanations, movement suggestions, planning assistance, and responses. AI-generated content may be incomplete or inaccurate and is not medical advice.
RiseMove™ asks for AI-processing consent before sending a Hank™ request. If you agree and use Hank™, your message and limited relevant app context may be sent to OpenAI to generate a response. Depending on the request, that context may include:
- Your profile, goals, preferences, and coaching style
- Check-ins and post-workout observations
- Your Daily Signal, readiness, sleep duration, training load, and movement plan
- Recent activity summaries, such as activity type, distance, moving time, and start date
Some values may be derived on your device from Apple Health or Health Connect. Hank™ does not receive a complete copy of your Apple Health or Health Connect records.
OpenAI states that API inputs and outputs are not used to train its models by default. OpenAI’s handling and retention of API data is governed by its applicable terms and data controls. RiseMove™ does not sell Hank™ conversations or use them for advertising.
You can select “Not Now” instead of agreeing to AI processing. Do not enter emergency information or sensitive medical information into Hank™.
8. Purchases, Subscriptions, App Stores, and RevenueCat
RiseMove™ may offer optional paid features through an auto-renewable RiseMove Premium subscription. Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on your platform. RiseMove™ does not receive or store complete payment-card numbers, Apple ID passwords, Google account passwords, or complete store-payment credentials.
RiseMove™ uses RevenueCat to support purchase verification, entitlement access, subscription status, restore purchases, trial or introductory-offer status, renewals, expiration, refunds, cancellations, subscription support, and fraud prevention.
Apple, Google, and RevenueCat may process transaction identifiers, receipts or store transaction information, product identifiers, subscription and renewal status, expiration dates, trial status, store region, refund or cancellation status, and app user or device identifiers under their own terms and privacy practices.
9. When Information May Be Shared
RiseMove™ does not sell personal data and does not share personal or health data with advertisers. Information may be disclosed only in limited circumstances:
A. Service providers
Service providers may support hosting, databases, authentication, artificial intelligence, analytics, diagnostics, subscriptions, email, support, maps, security, and professional services. They receive only information reasonably necessary to perform the assigned function and process it under applicable contractual, technical, and legal safeguards.
B. At your direction
Information may be disclosed when you connect a service, share content, export information, request support involving another provider, or otherwise authorize the disclosure.
C. Legal, security, and safety reasons
Information may be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with lawful process, protect rights or safety, investigate fraud or unauthorized access, respond to a security incident, enforce agreements, or establish or defend legal claims.
D. Business transaction
Information may be transferred in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction. A receiving party must handle personal information consistently with this Privacy Policy unless legally required notice and choices are provided.
10. Sharing and Community Features
Optional sharing features may allow content to become visible to other users based on the feature and settings you choose. Do not share private health information, a precise home location, unsafe route information, confidential information, information about another person without permission, or content you do not want others to see.
RiseMove™ may use reporting, blocking, moderation, filtering, removal, and account restrictions to support community safety.
11. Website Analytics, Tracking, and Advertising
The RiseMove™ website uses Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand website traffic, page performance, and interaction patterns. These services may receive browser and device information, pages viewed, approximate location derived from network information, referral information, and interaction data under their own terms.
RiseMove™ seeks not to send connected-health records, precise workout routes, or complete Hank™ conversations to website analytics services.
RiseMove™ does not currently operate a behavioral advertising network, sell user profiles to advertisers, share health or precise location data with advertisers, or use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Browser settings or privacy tools may allow you to limit cookies or similar technologies, although some website functions may be affected.
12. Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect
RiseMove™ does not intentionally collect complete payment-card numbers, bank-account numbers, credit scores, income or debt information, phone contacts or address books, device emails or text messages, browsing history outside RiseMove™, advertising profiles, biometric-identification templates, genetic information, clinical medical records, or medication records.
RiseMove™ does not intentionally request racial or ethnic information, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, political opinions, trade-union membership, or similar sensitive information. You may voluntarily disclose sensitive information in free-text fields or conversations; avoid submitting information unnecessary for the Service.
13. Storage of Health and Activity Information
Some connected-health values are processed on your device. Raw Apple Health and Health Connect records are not copied wholesale into RiseMove™.
RiseMove™ may transmit and store normalized workout or activity summaries when necessary to preserve activity history, synchronize information, prevent duplicates, create or adapt plans, provide requested coaching, support account deletion or export, investigate synchronization problems, and maintain security.
A stored summary may include source, external activity identifier, activity type, start and end time, duration, distance, route information where applicable, and synchronization date. RiseMove™ seeks not to store connected-health details that are not needed for an available feature.
14. Security
RiseMove™ uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. Measures may include encrypted transmission, safeguards provided by hosting and storage systems, authentication and access controls, least-privilege practices, secure development and configuration, monitoring, backups, vendor review, and incident-response procedures.
No transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Protect your device and login credentials, and contact paul@risemoveapp.com promptly if you believe your account or information has been accessed without authorization.
15. Data Breach and Incident Notification
RiseMove™ will investigate suspected unauthorized access, acquisition, use, or disclosure of personal information. When notification is required by applicable law, RiseMove™ will notify affected users, regulators, or other parties in the required manner and timeframe. Notice may be provided by email, in-app notice, website notice, or another legally permitted method.
16. Retention
RiseMove™ retains information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain accounts and requested history, operate subscriptions, restore purchases, support users, protect security, prevent fraud or abuse, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal, accounting, tax, or platform requirements.
Examples include:
- Account and profile information may be retained while the account is active.
- Activity history, workout summaries, routes, and planning information may be retained while the account is active or until you delete eligible information.
- Strava tokens are retained only while Strava remains connected.
- Hank™ messages and related app context may be retained by RiseMove™ only as needed to provide coaching and conversation continuity. Data sent to OpenAI is also handled under OpenAI’s applicable terms and data controls.
- Transaction, security, fraud-prevention, legal, and deletion-request records may be retained as required for those purposes.
When information is no longer reasonably required, RiseMove™ may delete, de-identify, or aggregate it. Information may remain temporarily in secure backups or logs until those systems complete their ordinary retention cycle.
17. Account and Data Deletion
You may delete your RiseMove™ account through the in-app account-deletion feature or submit a request through the Delete Account page or by emailing paul@risemoveapp.com.
Following a valid deletion request, RiseMove™ deletes or de-identifies eligible information controlled by RiseMove™ that is no longer reasonably necessary, subject to limited retention for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, tax and accounting, transaction records, disputes, enforcement, backups, and documentation of the request.
Deleting a RiseMove™ account does not automatically delete information independently controlled through Apple Health, Health Connect or your device, Strava, OpenAI, RevenueCat, Apple, Google, or another connected service. Those records must be managed through the applicable service or device settings.
18. Access, Correction, and Data Copy
Subject to applicable law and reasonable identity verification, you may request access to eligible information held by RiseMove™, correction of inaccurate information, a copy of eligible information, deletion, information about how data is used, or disconnection of a supported integration.
Submit requests through available in-app controls, the Delete Account page, or paul@risemoveapp.com. RiseMove™ may limit or decline a request where permitted by law, including to protect another person’s privacy, preserve security, prevent fraud, maintain legal claims, or comply with legal obligations.
19. Your Permission and Privacy Choices
- Change profile information, settings, goals, and optional check-ins
- Grant, deny, or revoke Apple Health or Health Connect categories through the relevant application or device settings
- Disable Motion and Fitness, location, notification, camera, or photo permissions through device settings
- Connect or disconnect Strava and other supported services
- Select “Not Now” instead of agreeing to Hank™ AI processing
- Decline optional sharing features and delete shared content where supported
- Delete your account or request access, correction, a copy, or deletion of eligible information
- Manage or cancel subscriptions through the Apple App Store or Google Play and restore eligible purchases
Some features cannot function without the information or permission required to provide them. RiseMove™ identifies permissions by feature and does not require every optional permission to use the entire Service.
20. Children’s Privacy
RiseMove™ is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 provided personal information, contact paul@risemoveapp.com. Users under the age of legal majority should use RiseMove™ with a parent or legal guardian where required.
21. State and Regional Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide rights to know, access, correct, delete, obtain a portable copy, restrict certain processing, appeal a denied request, withdraw consent, or opt out of certain sales, sharing, or targeted advertising.
RiseMove™ does not sell personal data and does not currently use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise an applicable right, contact paul@risemoveapp.com. RiseMove™ may request reasonable information to verify identity and authority and will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
22. International Use
RiseMove™ is operated from the United States. If you use the Service elsewhere, information may be processed in the United States or another location where RiseMove™ or its service providers operate. Privacy laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. Where required, RiseMove™ will use an applicable legal basis or safeguard for international processing.
23. Changes to This Privacy Policy
RiseMove™ may update this Privacy Policy to reflect new features, integrations, security changes, data practices, legal requirements, platform rules, or business operations. The current effective date appears at the top of the policy. When a change is material, RiseMove™ may provide notice through the app, email, website, or another appropriate method and will seek consent where required.
